INPET

INPET

This project was designed for a new industrial facility for polyethylene plastic production. It is located in a key industrial zone of Asuncion’s metropolitan area and was built as an extension of an existing bottle factory for famous beverages in the region.

The structure is entirely made of metal with lightweight thermal metallic sheets to gain construction speed and simplify maintenance costs. The metallic structure can be easily moved or modified without wasting materials. A wall of ceramic brick defines the perimeter at a shorter height. The bricks are disaggregated in places that require ventilation, or to add texture to accentuate entrances.

The volume is detached from the wall by a continuous glass opening that illuminates the entire factory, thus providing enough sunlight to the costume-made shade and dispensing with the use of artificial lights. The office and service sector are attached to the side, using a different permeable brick disposition to control luminosity and access.
